As long as I can remember I have been obsessed with Harry Potter so I leapt at the chance to head to the Warner Bros. ‘The Making of Harry Potter’. The Harry Potter set tour located just outside of London definitely makes a magical trip and if you’re as much of a Harry Potter nerd as I am it is guaranteed to be your dream day. I was literally bouncing through the doors of the Great Hall!
This amazing exhibition houses a range of costumes from all eight of the movies literally bringing the magic to life, from the Yule Ball outfits, the Hogwarts uniform and the costumes worn by the Malfoy family. There’s also a range of props including the wands used by the actors and The Goblet of Fire.
Discover the immense detail found in all of the sets as your stroll through Diagon Alley or pose outside number 4 Privet Drive. You can see the exterior of Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes joke shop as well as parts of the Ministry of Magic and the Black family portrait tapestry.
You can also come face to face with all kinds of creatures including dragons, Aragog and Buckbeak!
Parts of the set and a miniature to scale model of the outside view of Hogwarts Castle provide a fascinating insight into how everything was filmed.
And food lovers are sure to be spoiled to as the shop sells a whole host of Honeydukes goodies as well as Chocolate Frogs and Bertie Bots every flavour beans, definitely an interesting taste experience! You can even try sipping on some butter beer but be warned it is extremely sweet!
